PROJECTS
VIVIANNE
LIVE EDGE DINING TABLE
Designed around the character of the wood, the Vivianne project was about balancing organic form with geometric structure. The sculpted legs and bold joineries allow the wood to breathe easy through changing seasons, while the natural surface remains the feature. Paired with a bench, the arrangement is functional, grounded and expressive. A table shaped as much by the wood as by design.
MICAEL
CANADIAN PINE BED
The Micael Bed is a piece that doesn't demand much attention. The minimal structure and design details such as bold legs softened with rounded edges, make this piece easy to live with. The low lying bed, quietly features the beautiful grain of the Canadian Pine, enabling the entire room to be a cohesive experience.
ANUSHKA
LIVE EDGE COFFEE TABLE
The natural colours and textures of a mango wood slab are hard not to fall in love with. The edges are softened without compromising its organic form and the bow ties fasten the split in the timber for longevity. The geometric black metal base gives the surface visual weight and contrast that celebrates the wood.
SABI
CEDAR WARDROBE AND DRESSING TABLE
A truly custom wardrobe and dressing table in which each section is made specifically for its intended purpose and comes together as one bold statement. The entire tri-sectional unit is deliberately designed and built to highlight the textures of Cedar wood giving its beauty the attention it deserves. With finger grooves intended to blend in with the lines, the natural grain and knots of the timber remains the key feature nourishing the room with life and warmth.
AISHA
HEIRLOOM CEDAR SHELVES
We love creating pieces that hold connection through fond memories of our clients lived experiences. The shelves of this unit was built out of three beautiful heirloom cedar slabs that had been salvaged for many years. The sweet fragrance of the heirloom cedar conveyed a generation of song and story. We retained its natural shape while giving the structure contrast, character and function as the curved black pillars rest on a stack of drawers that provide stability. The shelves give the wood new life.
TANYA
TRANFORMABLE LIVE EDGE BAR PARTITION
For man and animal to live together, interact lovingly and respect each others personal space is a design challenge and this was our solution. A live edge bar featuring a contrasting geometric gate that cordons off a nook in the living room enables all the fur babies to be part of the party, without taking centre stage. The natural edge and cracks of the mango wood slab determined how the surface was to be shaped and reinforced with bow ties. A meticulously crafted track and a discrete magnetic catch allows the gate to open and close smoothly into place. We retain contemporary design solutions to compliment our clients lifestyle.
